Tillett T9.5 VG Clear Seat

It has a 48° reclined back, allowing drivers with taller torsos to position themselves lower in the kart. The T9.5 shape is another model made using Tillett’s special manufacturing technique; this is shown by its smooth surface front and back. KEY FEATURES The T9.5 range offer three rigidities. T9.5VTI is the softest rigidity we offer in the T11 range. See image rigidity chart for a better understanding. T9.5VTI is the softest rigidity on offer and produces maximum rear wheel lift from stiffer seat models. Typically, we find the VTI rigidity is more popular because of the higher level of flexibility. The T5 shape is now days predominantly used by younger or smaller drivers. This model has a flat bottom and a more upright back position. The 63° back angle allows a powerful shoulder turn, which helps the very young racers. With the T5 model, Tillett created the first ever “flat bottom” style seat. This innovation was eventually replicated by many other brands, as the iconic design feature gives a favourable performance advantage. The T5 range offer four rigidities. The T15 is based around the very popular T7 / T8. This shape has always been very comfortable with its small flat, leg support and anti submarine front kickup, but most importantly the deeper sides and curved back make it the best solution to effectively support a deep chested driver. When the old injection T8 moulds died after 25 years of continuous production, the customers relying on this shape were disappointed. Therefore, a decision was made to reintroduce the popular shape and at the same time bring it up to date. As these customers were almost all using the larger sizes we selected the ML, L, XL and XXL as the range that would be re-introduced as the T15 and they were to be made in the latest manufacturing process, which gives a perfect laminate of quality and consistency. Each size was adapted to take account of the requirements to the modern requirement to use rib protectors and the full range of rigidities made available for both modern and historic karts. KEY FEATURES Super comfortable and supportive shape. The best seat for a deep chested driver. A slightly more upright 58° angle which suits Historic karts as with the older chassis it helps to get the weight off the rear axle. A narrowback on the seat helps pro kart racers fit an XL, XXL seat between the engines. Sizes designed to suit the larger drivers; ML, L, XL and XXL Full range of rigidities available. Tillett T14T Clear Seat
The T14 shape is the newest model in our kart seat range. Any seat combination can be manufactured if not currently in stock; however, this will take approximately 2–4 weeks The seat has been released initially for smaller drivers, with an upright back position and additional leg support. The T14 takes the place of the discontinued T8 which also had leg support. Currently the T14 is only available in the smaller Cadet/Minikart sizes, Mini, Ccd, CL and XScd. The reason for only having four small sizes is that older juniors and adults are typically strong enough and bracing with the legs is not necessary. The extra width of the leg support can also be a problem with adult sizes, as it miss-aligns the sensitive airbox on many engine combinations. However, the added support can be ideal for classes where a particularly small or inexperienced driver struggles to control a faster kart. T14VTI is what we call a soft rigidity seat. The VTI rigidity offers more rear wheel from stiffer seat models. Typically, we find the VTI seats are popular because of their level of flexibility. The T11 shape is the most popular for adult sized karts, typically used by manufacturers and professional kart racing teams. This model has a flat base and a mid-angle reclined back. This design was created to position the driver lower in the kart whilst allowing a more powerful upright shoulder turn, giving the driver more control. For drivers with a long torso, the T9.5 is further reclined. Standard is one of four rigidities. This is the most rigid of the four grades offered. Typically, we find the flexible options are more popular. However, some require the Standard rigidity to balance their chassis.
